Home Lighting especially chandeliers have been a serious point of contention between my wife and me. She is convinced we need to get one of the foyer and another for the dining room. I can’t seem to even understand the need for one, much less two. But because my wife has been right on more than just a few occasions when it comes to home decorating, so I decided to be smart about it and do some research before I put my size 13 in my mouth again. This may come as a surprise to you, but I love wall sconces. If you can take a simple ornament and transform a space to make it look a lot more substantial than it ordinarily would, then you have found the holy grail of ornaments. Then you have some people who collect tons of great stuff but keep them hidden in plain sight, by not illuminating them. If you happen to be one of those people, you better read up ? we are going to straighten that out. . [...]
When was the last time you looked at your outdoor lighting? Has it aged? Have you considered doing something about it? Before you dump your outdated outdoor wall sconce, think about exactly what look you would like, if your going to change it, you might as well kick it up a notch. [...]

Chandelier lighting is by far the sweetest of all lighting. In fact it would be almost a sin to refer to it as light fixtures. It is in all earnest a work of art, in terms of concept and execution. Chandeliers are to lighting the way chateau are to houses. It is really the emperor of home decor. [...]
If you have a home office within your home, there are two things you need to seriously consider when refurbishing or renovating it. How you design and outfit your home office will determine the health and safety of your back and eyes to a very high degree. Do remember that even if you work at home, it does not mean that you are free from getting injured while working. Every action has the potential to affect you adversely or otherwise. The first two are more obvious. [...]
Whenever I broached the subject of of looking into ceiling fans that came with lights, I literally cringed. It was unbearable.. I had two seemingly valid concerns. First, in my experience the blades would cast long shadows and those shadows would constantly rotate. Second, I thought that whenever I wanted the fan, the light would remain rotating and if I just wanted the fan, the light would remain on. Both concerns have been debunked. Until earlier today. I was looking for a simple ceiling fan and came across a very elegant and functional ceiling fan light. [...]
Insulation troubles are a homeowner’s bane. Especially in the winters when the source of that mysterious draft has to be hunted down. It also is the main reason for the electric bill to go up. However, the benefits of foam insulation in the cold weather of Ottawa & Kingston Ontario has made foam the current favorite in the insulator industry. [...]
Maintenance of a Champagne cellar is a very involved activity that requires extra care to ventilation and the light fixtures you use. Floor lamps and ceiling fans are an absolute must. Once the sparkling wine has began to age, bright overhead lamps and temperamental air-conditioning or heating could be disastrous. It is as important as the riddling, that is essential to the life of Champagne, as it collects the sediment in bottles and deposits it near the bottle’s mouth. This sediment is what helps to bring the bubbles bursting out when you pop the cork. [...]
